How claiming works
From booking to receipt — here's exactly what happens.
Book your appointment
When booking, let us know your health fund. We'll do a preliminary benefits check before we arrive.
We arrive fully equipped
Your chiropractor arrives with a portable HICAPS terminal — the same system used in every clinic in Australia.
Treatment is performed
Your adjustment or therapy session is completed at your location, exactly as it would be in a clinic.
We claim on the spot
We swipe your health fund card through HICAPS and process the claim instantly. You only pay the gap (if any).
You receive a receipt
A detailed treatment receipt is emailed or printed for your records.
Insurance questions
Do I need a GP referral to use my extras?
No. Chiropractic is a standalone allied health service. You can claim directly without any referral. Your extras cover resets annually — usually on 1 January.
What if I have a gap payment?
Your fund's benefit amount varies by plan. We'll always tell you your estimated gap before treatment starts. You pay only the gap — we claim the rest.
Can I use Medicare for chiropractic?
Medicare doesn't cover chiropractic unless you have a GP Management Plan (GPMP). If you do, contact us and we'll walk you through the process.
Do you accept WorkCover?
Yes. We accept WorkCover NSW claims. Please bring your claim number and we'll handle the paperwork with your insurer.
Does my annual limit reset on 1 January?
Most funds reset on 1 January, but some reset on your policy anniversary. Check your fund's reset date — if you're near year-end, you may be able to claim additional sessions before they lapse.
